[1] Looking back at what I wrote in the quarterly commentaries offers me a humbling humor about my own foibles and limitations. Nowhere is this more pronounced than in logic (or lack thereof) surrounding my acquisition and stubborn retention of JDSU from May 2001 through Feb 2005. Holding JDS Uniphase had both a nasty opportunity cost and a sobering effect on the portfolio (and my personal holdings), but this has at least been partially compensated by the mild chuckles I afford myself when contemplating my own foolishness.
